Our opinion on the Fausse Monnaie Beach
Fausse Monnaie Beach in Marseille is located to the east of Malmousque neighborhood, behind the restaurant le Petit-Nice and near the overpass Fausse Monnaie. We find a little beach under the arch and several beaches in the smooth rocks. The rocks are what attract the most people! These beaches have different names: flat stone beach, Petit Nice beach, or Fausse Monnaie Beach.
To get to this beach, you can follow the coastal path around the Malmousque peninsula toward Prado. You could also follow directions for the restaurant Petit-Nice or go down the corniche Kennedy near the overpass Fausse Monnaie (bus stop with the same name).

On the right is the bridge Fausse Monnaie. At the foot of the left arch we find a little sand and stone beach. The smooth rocks attract a crowd in the summer.
On the right of the arch (looking toward the sea) there are flat stones that serve as a beach in the summer. This place is also nicknamed Petit-Nice due to the nearby restaurant with the same name.
We are at the edge of Malmousque peninsula. On the left is the overpass Fausse Monnaie.
From this cove we cover the east part of Marseille with the beginning of the Massif des Calanques and the neighborhoods of Madrague and Goudes.
