Bain des Dames Beach in Marseille is the first beach with cabanas. They were shelters for they typical fishing boats of the south of France, and now they are owned by individuals who use them mostly for evening beach parties.
We find three beaches in this bay. The left part is the larges and busiest with sand and gravel. In the middle we find only a little, narrow stone beach (only 1 meter wide) and on the right we find a beach with large stones and rocks.
We find a parking lot above the beach.
To get to this beach, follow directions for Pointe Rouge harbor. 100 meters after the harbor, we find the parking lot on the right. The beach is found below.
