Carry le Rouet is one of the most important seaside resorts of Côte Bleue, just 30 km from Marseille. Its port is lively throughout the year.
There are several sandy and pebble beaches, and some creeks. The largest is located east of the seaside resort.
Carry le Rouet is an excellent starting point to discover the small villages of Côte Bleue, which creeks in Rove are a real paradise for divers or in the small seaside town of L'Estaque, which became famous with the film Marius and Jeannette. Sausset les Pins is close by, it is very difficult to tell the difference between Carry and Sausset les Pins.
Remember to take a guided tour of the Marine Park of Carry-le-Rouet to snorkel in the protected area of the Regional Marine Park of the Blue Coast. It is a protected environment where one can discover extraordinary seabed.
The sea urchin is the specialty of Carry. February is dedicated to it with a direct sale of sea urchins on the port of Carry the first three Sundays in February (the sea urchins of Carry).
