Port Saint-Nicolas Beach on the island of Groix is one of the few practicable beaches of this west coast, more untamed, more beaten by the waves than the other coasts. The sand is retained here thanks to the depth of the bay at the bottom of which it is located. As the name suggests, it is above all a place of embarkation or to shelter its boats. But it is also a place for bathing where the waters are calm, the seabed is flat and the beach is peaceful, although there is a certain amount of seaweed after a storm. Note that at low tide the beach is uncovered for a good part of the cove.
