At the exit of Lorient’s harbour and opposite the island of Groix, Saisies beach is the least known beach of Gâvres. It extends along the west coast near the Fort of Porh Puns (it was used to protect the citadel of Port Louis) in a protected environment. However, the beach is narrow and the seabed is very rocky in this part of the peninsula. Practically no one uses this area, despite the presence of a nearby campsite. The Grande Plage beach of Gâvres attracts all the holidaymakers!
To go on this beach follow the signs of the campsite of Lande (as well as the Gâvres point - Beg Gavr). After the sports grounds, there is free parking. Access to the beach is via a small path.
