The beach of Locmaria of Ile de Groix is oriented full south, it is protected by a bay and is near the village of Locmaria (not to be confused with the village of Locmaria in Belle Ile en Mer). On the other hand, it faces a sea often very stormy, which brings to it a lot of seaweed, but no green algae. It is a curved beach of about 530 m. The width is much more variable: reduced to a long band of sand at high tide, this band becomes enormous at low tide, which is more of an advantage for the shore fishermen than for those who would like to swim because of the distance they would have to walk to put their feet in the water. It is very easy to access this beach. Services and shops are nearby. You can rent kayaks and this beach is supervised in July and August.
