Cala de Paraguano Beach (or Paraguan Beach) is located west of Bonifacio and south of Capo di Feno, and is one of the secret beaches of southern Corsica. Even if it is accessible by car on a track in poor condition, attendance is very low (there are no signs indicating it). It is totally wild; the presence of Posidonia on the beach is the only drawback. Adepts of this creek will appreciate gently sloping swimming and turquoise water.
Cala de Paraguano is also the starting point for many hikes and walks around Capo di Feno (there are some small secluded coves) or the lighthouse of Madonetta through the cove facing the island of Fazzio. There are several small lovely coves towards Capo di Feno.
One can access this beach by car (one needs a fairly high car, the track is very stony) by taking the N196 towards Sartène. At the roundabout just outside Bonifacio, drive 2.4 km on the national road then turn left. The beach is 1 km away. One can also access the beach from the port of Bonifacio at Avenue Sylvère Bohn by a very nice little footpath (about 1 hour on foot).
