Rondinara Beach is located between Porto Vecchio and Bonifacio. It is one of the most beautiful beaches in Corsica and one of the busiest in summer. It is round and two spikes jutting out into the Mediterranean almost close it. Swimming is gently sloping and the sea is seldom rough. There are different sandbanks all around the bay. The busiest area is at the car park. There are some interesting and less crowded small coves towards the peak of Rondinara. The northern part (near the pond of Prisarella) is also quieter (one has to walk a little).
There is a hut for mattress rentals next to the car park in summer.
From Porto Vecchio, take the N198 towards Bonifacio. At the roundabout for Figari, go straight towards Bonifacio for 11 km then turn left on the D158.
From Bonifacio, at the roundabout for Propriano, take the N198 towards Porto-Vecchio for 11 km then turn right onto the D158.
The D158 is a winding road with numerous switchbacks going down to the car park (paid car park in summer) of Rondinara (7 km).
