Grand Sperone Beach is located at the peak of Sperone and south of the Golf, and is one of the most beautiful beaches in Corsica. Open to the sea, which is often rough, sand is extra fine and white and only usually found on distant islands. The view of the islands of Lavezzi and even Sardinia is nice when the weather is clear. Swimming is gently sloping and the seabed is exceptional. Attendance is reasonable even in summer because one can reach it on foot from Piantarella Beach (about 20 minutes on foot).
To get to this beach from the port of Bonifacio, take the D58 and turn right towards the Sperone and Piantarella golf course on the D260. Follow the road to the sea where there is a car park at Piantarella Beach (and straw huts). Go down south. Cross Piantarella Beach then a point where there are ruins; we are in Petit Sperone Cove. Cross it and go up the stairs leading to the golf course. A trail passes through it and around the tip of Sperone to the beach of interest.
