Maora Beach in Bonifacio, stretching about 800 meters, is located at the bottom of the Gulf of Sant'Amanza. This easily accessible sandy beach has restaurants and it is possible to rent pedal boats in summer. However, this beach is not sheltered from the winds, the sea can be rough. It is a famous surfing spot. In summer, there is a beach volleyball court. The small port of Gurgazu is located on the right side of the beach, with some hotels in the surrounding area.
There are several ways to reach this beach. From the centre of Bonifacio, take the D58 towards Santa-Manza for 5 km and then turn left onto the D60 towards Porto-Vecchio (here, do not follow the signs for Sant'Amanza). Turn right after 100 meters (sign indicating the beach). There is a small car park there. From Porto Vecchio, take the N198 towards Bonifacio then turn onto the D60 towards Sant'Amanza (many advertising signs indicating the beach). There is a path on the left towards the beach just before reaching the D58.
