Arbitru Beach in Pianottoli-Caldarello - France

Our opinion on the Arbitru Beach

In the town of Pianottoli-Caldarello, Arbitru Beach is the most untamed beach of the town. Difficult to access by car, the beach is deserted even in the summer season Wedged deep in a cove, it is well sheltered (this is also a place of refuge for ships in case of bad weather). It extends for over 300 meters in a totally untamed environment (there is a house). The sand is white and fine. However, depending on the zone, there is a layer of Posidonia (no risk, actually it is a sign of good water quality). On the sides of the bay, there are also some small coves (usually we take the main beach because there is no one).

This beach is accessible from the N196 (access in front of the D150, taking the direction for Sartène). The start of the path is good then things get a little complicated with a very steep descent with many holes (you must be very careful as the recovery may not be possible depending on the vehicle you have). For our part, we have not been able to test this road (it can be blocked by private owners), we took the trail from Chevanu Beach (Bruzzi trail - about 1h30 walk, 2 routes: one of the coast and the other from the inside).
