In the bay of Cala de Furnellu on the east side, is one of the most beautiful bays of southern Corsica. Completely unknown, not very crowded even in full August. Located in the town of Pianottoli-Caladarello, it is actually accessible by the town of Monacia-d'Aullène (otherwise you have to take the coastal path). It extends for over 150 meters. It is a tropical paradise made up of fine white sand and surrounded by a lovely wood. It's our favourite on the southwest coast of Corsica.
To go to this beach, the easiest way is to park on the Furnellu Beach then go left. At the mouth of the lake, re-join the path on the rocks and follow the path south. At the level of a private property, there is a trail down to the beach (path a bit steep, rope is provided). About 15 minutes’ walk from the carpark.
