
The region Languedoc Roussillon offers many beaches bordering the Mediterranean Sea. The best known seaside resorts are La Grande Motte, Cap d'Adge and Palavas les Flots.
On the east side of the region, the beaches of Gard including Le Grau du Roi are in Camargue and have large stretches of sand with several swamps.
The beaches of Hérault are more popular with a slight incline for swimming and the beaches of Languedoc Roussillon are very well adapted for families with young children.
The beaches of the Oriental Pyrenees and the Cote Vermeille offer different landscapes between little cliffs and vineyards.
If you choose a destination in the north east of Languedoc Roussillon, don't hesitate to go to the beaches of Provence and the French Riviera, notably the Blue Coast.
The seaside resort of Frontignan is located northeast of Sete in South of France, and offers a landscape between sea, ponds and scrubland. There are 7 km of beautiful sand and pebble beaches.
