Narbonne’s sea front is located 16 km from the historic city and is called Narbonne-Plage. There is a large sandy beach that stretches for over 4 km from Gruissan-Plage to St-Pierre-sur-Mer.
The beaches of Narbonne are divided into four sectors, although the beach is uninterrupted from west to east. The southernmost beach is untamed and you can even practice the sport of sand yachting, which is very rare in the south of France. The three other Narbonne beaches stretch along the city centre to the marina.
The various beaches of Narbonne are supervised by 4 lifeguard stations. There are many water activities available and there is also a water park.
In the centre of the resort, there are numerous restaurants and shops.
If you want to spend your holidays in Narbonne, there are many sites to discover. The mountain of “la Clape” offers a beautiful view over the Mediterranean, the lakes around Gruissan and the Aude valley which is covered with vineyards. Gruissan is also a must with its famous beach with its chalets on stilts. To the east, St Pierre sur Mer is a small family resort.
