Located two kilometres from Collioure, in the beautiful Languedoc-Roussillon region and the gateway to Spain, the resort of Port-Vendres is famous for its beaches of the “Côte Vermeille” which attract many swimmers during the summer season. Less known than its neighbour, it offers an authentic Mediterranean atmosphere! It has the only natural port of the Coast which is reached via steep streets. Its quaysides are very nice! Its coast is dotted with forts, that of the Redoute Béar or Madeloc, so reflecting its military past.

A sports orientated town, it allows everyone the chance to learn sailing, diving, fishing, and many other activities between sessions of relaxation. The small port in the morning is the place to be, the opportunity to witness the return of the fishing boats and the landing of fresh fish to the market!
Further south, is the charming resort of Banyuls sur Mer. To the north, is located in Argeles-Plage with its large sandy beaches.
