The village of Fleury d'Aude, located in the department of the same name, is a typical Languedoc village, between Narbonne and Béziers. It is located in the Regional Natural Park of Narbonne and was for a long time a medieval city. Even if today the castle has disappeared, it is still possible to find a piece of a wall or the remains of a turret.
It is for its stunning scenery that tourists flock here every year. The most impressive is undoubtedly "L’oeil Doux", a gulf which offers visitors an amazing sight. Made up of high cliffs of limestone and surrounded by greenery, overlooking a vast green expanse of emerald water. Swimming is prohibited but it is a paradise to the lovers of walking!
On the Amethyst coast, deep in the Gulf du Lion, it is also the sea that fascinates! The 8 km stretch of sand from Saint-Pierre Beach to Cabanes de Fleury all to enjoy! During the summer, mackerel fishing is the activity that dominates.
Finally, nature is revealed in the Massif de la Clape: lavender, juniper, rosemary and honeysuckle perfumed trails and scrubland!
4 km to the south, are the beaches of Narbonne, where you can practice sailing, the national sport in northern France, which is catching on in the south. In the neighbouring department of Hérault, only 17 km away, you can go on the beaches of Valras which offer beautiful stretches of sand.
