Located in the department Gard, the seaside resort Grau du Roi is an old fishermen's village of Camargue. The second fishing harbor and the first marina of the region, Grau du Roi is an original tourist spot. Its downtown area is crossed by a canal which is actually the fishing harbor. Surrounded by businesses, restaurants and cafes, we can observe the come and go of trawlers. We find a turning bridge that allows us to pass from one bank to the other. For vacations with ids, we can go to the Seaquarium where we can discover numerous fish and invertebrates of the Mediterranean or the tropics. A space with sharks is also available with an impressive tunnel.

The beaches of Grau du Roi make up about seventeen kilometers of the coast of the department Hérault of Bouches du Rhone, to the south of La Grande-Motte of salty Camargue. Espiguette Beach (in Port-Camargue) offers a more wild setting and we can even find areas that are almost deserted with 100 meters between you and the next person on the beach.

The beaches of La Grande-Motte are only a few minutes away by car, and offer a different profile overall for the beaches of the west. In forty minutes by car you can be at the beaches of Sainte Maries de la Mer, the most reputed village in Camargue.
