Our opinion on the Weekend Beach
Ajaccio’s Week-End beach is located on the road of the Sanguinaires, near the mouth of the Capo di Feno (D111B), about 3.5 km before the tower of the Parata. Similar to the beaches of Sacred Lands, Macumba and Gulls, this beach is located at the left end of the beaches of Vignola. Composed of fine sand and rocks, this beach is one of the most beautiful beaches of Ajaccio. It stretches to the monument of Terre Sacrée. In the summer season, you can rent beach equipment. Lifeguard station closeby, near Vignola Beach.
To get to this beach from the centre of Ajaccio, take the Sanguinaires road. After the marine cemetery, approximately 5 km on the D111, just before the junction for Capo di Feno, the Weekend’s straw cabin is shown on the left. There is a small free carpark.

Located at the beginning of the Marina di Vignola (coming from the centre of Ajaccio), the sandy beach offers a tropical paradise with its rocks and sand.
This beach continues on the right to the monument of the Terre Sacrée (visible in the picture, built in memory of the many deaths during the 14-18 war). On the left, we can see the Sanguinaires islands.
