Beaches on the seaside resorts of the Nord-Pas-de-Calais region in France
Located in the extreme north of France, the region Nord-Pas-de-Calais offers an exceptional coast that is often overlooked. With a 140 kilometer coast, we find immense sand beaches in Nord-Pas-de-Calais where the main activity is sand yachting. This coast, known as Cote d'Opale, extends to the south of Berck sur Mer to the boarder of the beaches of Picardy and to the north to Bray-Dunes to the Belgian border.
Bordered by Manche (English Channel) and the North Sea, this region hold two departments. The beaches of Pas de Calais are the more renowned with authentic seaside resorts and two capes (Cape Blanc Nez and Cape Gris Nez). The beaches of Nord mark the transition to Belgium with the main resort, Malo les Bains.
From the downtown beach with many activities to the beach in a natural park bordered by dunes and beaches below cliffs that are accessible by notches (near the capes), the diversity of the Pas de Calais coast is immense and we find secret beaches here, as in the other regions!
