Beaches in Saint-Etienne-au-Mont (62360) France - advise, map and photos

The town of Saint-Etienne-au-Mont is on Opal Coast, not far from Ecault and Boulogne-sur-Mer. It is bordered by the English Channel and offers a vast unspoilt natural area that attracts lovers of calm and beautiful landscapes.

The beach of Saint Etienne au Mont is one of the most secret of the Opal Coast. Between Hardelot-Plage (south) and Equihen-Plage (north), it stretches on 3 kms in a totally wild environment bordered by the dunes of Ecault. The site belongs to the Conservatoire du Littoral and several marked trails allow to discover this unique place. 

The city is surrounded by the national forest of Ecault and by the site of Dunes of the same name. Among the sites to discover when we visit Saint-Etienne-au-Mont,the castle Audisque, that of Pont-de-Briques which constitutes one of the two territories of the commune and the city center but also Aréna, the house of Dunes. The city has indeed an exceptional dune space and unique in Europe, dunes plastered on ancient cliffs that cover most of the southern coast of the Opal Coast.

We can enjoy the hinterland which consists of fields and offers nice walks. From its height we can see the great site of the two caps, the cliffs of Dover, Normandy... The beach is an ecxellent place for relaxation, that of Ecault which adjoins the municipality is also very frequented. We practice sand yachting and kitesurfing, it is the best place to learn about these essential activities in the region !
