Berck is found in the region of Nord-Pas-de-Calais near Picardie on the Cote d'Opale. This is the southernmost seaside resort in Pas-de-Calais. Berck is a very frequented resort and one of the most frequented in the north of France.
We find several beaches in Berck as the coast extends for over ten kilometers. The main beach is found near downtown close to the esplanade Parmentier. It is very well equipped with bathing huts, is welcoming for the handicapped, and there is a play area for children. It is also here where you'll find international meetings for kites during Easter.
Berck is also known for its bases for sand yachting. To the south we find a water sports center with a natural pool near the north of the bay of Authis (submersible dam allowing navigation at low tide, ideal for debutants). To the north, we find a beach reserved for nudists.
Downtown, near the seafront, the Agora complex proposes several activities (indoor and outdoor) and a large wave pool.
Its strategic position in the north of the bay Authie allow an escape from the urban agitation so you can discover a totally preserved area with developed dunes. Many paths allow you to travel across this bay toward Groffliers. We can even see seals.
Near Berck are the beaches of Touquet which are a must, and only a twenty minute drive. More to the north, we can appreciate Fort-Mahon in Picardie.
