Beaches in Audresselles (62164) France - advise, map and photos

The small seaside resort of Audresselles is located in the department of Pas-de-Calais near Boulogne-Sur-Mer. Tourists and inhabitants alike call it the “little Britain of the North” for its authentic side and charming fishing village, very respectful of previous traditions.

One thus quickly realizes, taking a stroll in the small town, that nothing has changed for a long time, from picturesque houses to one of the most used tools in the area, the flobart (small fishing boat), which local artisans still use and which one can observe the return of on Audresselles Beach in the evening at sunset or enjoy the catch of the day in one of the village restaurants. One can learn more about the history of Audresselles by taking the fisherman trail from the village. Vacationers also enjoy strolling along the coast, in Cap Gris Nez or on one of the two beaches of the town, separated by the cape of the 'iron coast ". The southern beach is the most popular and adjoins Ambleteuse Beach, the northern one is wilder and surrounded by a long cliff that offers unforgettable views of the sea; this is the beginning of Gris-Nez. The village fair is held every 15th of August during which a procession moves towards the sea, which is blessed by a priest.

The wide beach of Audresselles is mainly covered in pebbles. But one mainly comes here for the different coves (small creeks). The one beyond the village is very nice. The wildest are just a few kilometres north of the town of Audinghen, Village of Cap-Gris-Nez. The nearby beaches of Wissant are a paradise for athletes.
