Beaches in Hardelot-Plage (62152) France - advise, map and photos

Hardelot is a seaside resort found of the Cote d'Opale (city of Neufchâtel-Hardelot), in Pas-de-Calais in France. It is found between to very touristic resorts: Boulogne-sur-Mer and Touquet-Paris-Plage and has a very vast seafront of more than eight kilometers of dunes and beach. Highly frequented, it is defined by the nature that surrounds: the Ecault forest, the natural reserve of Marais de Condette, and Mont Saint-Frieux...

The resort welcomes many Englishmen. It is not rare to come across them while golfing and playing cricket. Hardelot Beach, with fine sand, is several kilometers long and is a peaceful haven. It is divided into several zones. The central part has a lifeguard in the summer and is bordered by a nice pedestrian promenade dam. The two extremities are more wild. Here, we can practice many activities: sand yachting, kitesurfing, catamaran, shrimp fishing... Burrowed between Saint-Etienne-au-Mont and Dannes, it offers beautiful hiking trail in the heart of two protected dune areas. Certain dominate the sea at 90 meters high, permitting us to appreciate great views that are unique to the region. We can also opt for a walk in the forest, in the middle of the maritime pines, beeches, and oaks.

Among the site to discover when we visit Hardelot is the castle of the city and its gardens, open to the public, and the parish church Saint-Augustin-de-Cantorbéry.
