The Merlimont beach resort is located in the south of the Nord-Pas-de-Calais region and follows on from the beaches of Berck. It attracts a family clientele in the summer season but also during the weekends. Its waterfront was built in the 50s, primarily for people to come here to relax, enjoy its vast beach or stroll through the dunes which are known to be among the most beautiful of the Côte d’Opale.

There is a large beach in Merlimont divided into three sectors. The central beach in the centre of the resort is supervised in the summer season (also during weekends in May). The southern and northern areas are more untamed and are bordered by an impressive massif with dune trails. Along the beach to the south, you reach the north beach of Berck and the centre of the resort. Going north, it is the small Cucq resort which is easily reached after a pleasant stroll.

As for the activities, there is Merlimont Leisure Park of Bagatelle. It is a must-see in northern France.

The resort of Le Touquet is near, it is the must-see resort of the “Nord”. You can also reach the Baie de Somme to watch the seals.
