Stella-Plage is a small seaside resort in northern France between Berck sur Mer and Le Touquet. It is in the area of Cucq. The resort was established in 1930 and was completely destroyed during World War II (only two homes remained intact). The architecture lacks in history, there are only small buildings with no real character. Very few animations off season, there are only a few restaurants near the sea.
Stella-Plage stretches for several kilometres between the beaches of Le Touquet in the north and those of Merlimont in the south. The central part is supervised in the summer season (and a few weekends before and after the season). Both ends of the beach have sand dunes. Tourists come to Stella for its family orientated atmosphere with many possibilities of walks and animations during the summer season. The sports-minded can practice sand yachting on the long straight beach. However, we must be careful because there are several wrecks in the area (some can be uncovered after high tides)
The nearby Touquet is a benefit to this small resort. You will enjoy the excitement of it while enjoying the lower house prices of Stella.
