Ovaires Beach, located southeast of Ile-d’Yeu, starts at the tip of the sandpit and stretches to the southern end (it changed its name to Grande Conche). Bordered by some small dunes, the environment is preserved. There is a picnic area on the south part of the beach. In summer, there is a channel for water skiing. This is one of the most popular beaches in Ile-d’Yeu. However, we prefer the wildest and more authentic small coves of the southern tip.
To get to this beach, go in the south of the island (it is recommended to go by bicycle as parking is always difficult). Several trails lead to the beach (e.g. path of Marais Mottou accessible from the road of the Conches).
