It is north of the Vendée, on the coast of Lumière, lies the resort of La Barre-de-Monts. This is the hamlet of the Fromentine that attracts the most people in the summer. It is opposite the island of Noirmoutier.

The beaches of La Barre des Monts are to the delight of lovers of peace and quiet and who like nature.
