South of Notre Dame de Monts and following on from the beaches of Saint Jean de Monts, you find Pont d'Yeu Beach. This beach is best known for its 4 km long road that goes towards the island of Yeu (historically the island and the mainland were connected by this road during low tide). This path is discovered and is an ideal playground and for fishing. However, we must be very careful at the turning of the tide as you can be trapped by it.
The beach is untamed and offers beautiful dunes. However, swimming is not supervised.
To get to this beach from the centre of Notre Dame de Monts, take the direction of St John by the D38. After 700 metres, turn left on “rue de l'Ecolière”. The beach car park is at the end. From St Jean, take the “rue du Pont d'Yeu” on the D38.
