Our opinion on the Tonelle Beach
Saint Jean de Monts’ Tonnelle Beach is located north of the resort, close to Notre Dame de Monts and the Pont d'Yeu. Similar to the nearby beaches, but it is less crowded because of parking problems (however, there is a campsite nearby which makes the beach popular in high season). Swimming is supervised in the summer season and it is possible to practice windsurfing.
From Notre Dame de Monts, take the D38 towards Saint-Jean-de-Monts for about 3 km then turn left in the roundabout (use the restaurant “Les Tonnelles” as a landmark).
