Our opinion on the Broches Beach
Broches Beach is located northwest of Ile-d’Yeu, between the tips of But and Gournaise. Little known and little frequented, this cove also has a mooring area (on the right with a launch for boats). It's not the most beautiful beach on Ile d'Yeu, but it remains very pleasant (especially on this side of the island). One should be careful when bathing because this part of the island is famous for being dangerous (strong current, many shipwrecks).
On the right side, there is a dolmen and one can easily reach the tip of But. Nice walk in this unfrequented area.
This beach is easily accessible because Broches Road comes directly out of this beach (access from the village of Ker Gigou).

Broches beach (Pin Beach) is located northwest of Ile-d’Yeu, near the tip of But. On the right side of the beach, there is an area for launching boats.
Far away in this photo, one can see the Fire of Perrin Dogs (Feu des Chiens de Perrin) on a rock off that guides sailors in this area deemed dangerous.
Although this beach is not listed as dangerous, one has to be very careful because the nearby beaches are dangerous.
The dolmen of Puare board is on the left side of this beach (4000 BC). Continuing west, one can reach the tip of But.
