Vieil Beach (also near La Madeleine) is located in the north of the island of Noirmoutier, in Veil village (one of the last typical villages in the island). The sandy cove is popular for on-foot fishing (this is a former fishing village) because there are many rocks at low tide. At high tide, one also comes to swim. The environment is urban enough with many houses along this beach.
Access to this beach is through Petit-Vieil Street. There are a few places to park on the seafront (but very difficult in summer).
