Our opinion on the Blanche Beach
Blanche Beach is one of the secluded beaches of Noirmoutier. Bordered by the old Abbey (which is now a private property) and by White Wood (also private), there are few accesses to this beach, which make it confidential. Next to Madeleine Beach, this long stretch of sand remains little frequented in summer. However (and as is so often the case on the island), swimming is not monitored.
To get to this beach, the easiest way is to leave the villages of Vieil or Madeleine then go west. Blanche Street extends the street. At the end of the latter (in the turn), there is an access to the beach. However, there are no car parks nearby.

We are at the beach access near the abbey and White Wood (you can see it in this picture).
The sand is fine but the beach is relatively narrow at high tide. At low tide, there are many rocky areas, perfect for on-foot fishing.
There are wilder and more confidential beaches away from the access and close to the Abbey (beach access only).
Madeleine Beach is located on the right.
This beach is only accessible by a small path. No car park in the area.
