Our opinion on the Bergere Beach
South of La Barre de Monts, in the Pays de Monts forest, there is Bergere Beach. This totally unspoilt beach offers a wide stretch of sand. To the south, you can reach the Lays Beach and to the edge the village of Fromentine. Becomes less crowded away from the main entrance and southbound. Note that this beach is supervised in the summer season. There is also an emergency call terminal near the path that connects the car park to the beach. A few hundred meters away, there is a campsite.
To get to this beach from Fromentine, take the D38D towards Notre Dame de Monts and then at the roundabout turn left (road of the Grande Côte) for a few hundred meters then turn right on the Corsive road. After 1 km, turn right (after the main road, there is a forest path). The beach car park is at the end of the road.

On the left, the beach stretches for over several kilometres towards Notre Dame de Monts. The environment becomes increasingly untamed.
In terms of access, there is a lifeguard station (open in the summer). Also an emergency calls borne.
From the car park, there is a trail laid to cross the dune. Also a bicycle parking area.
Near the beach, there is plenty of free parking.
