Oncheres Beach is located in the south of the island of Noirmoutier in Barbâtre. It is one of the closest beaches in the continent (with Boucholeurs Beach). It is very popular because swimming is gently sloping and there are very few rocks in this area (which is quite rare). The environment is preserved with some small dunes (no construction within 100 meters of the beach). There is a campsite at the main entrance.
To get to this beach from the mainland after the bridge, follow the D38 on 2.7 km and turn left on Charreau Pineau Street (sign indicating Barbâtre entrance) and take the D95 on 1.6 km. Turn left towards the Oncheres campsite. The beach and the parking are at the end of this road.
