Mardi Gras Beach in Noirmoutier is located in Old Hamlet, which is an extension of Clère Beach. This central beach is frequented by families and is perfect for swimming (few rocks in the central part even at low tide). It is also a mooring area. In summer, there is a water sports centre.
The movie César and Rosalie was shot on this beach in 1972 (with Yves Montand and Romy Schneider, the film also takes place in Paris and Sète).
To get to this beach, go in the direction of Old hamlet then follow Mardi Gras Street, which directly overlooks the beach. No car park.
