Sables d'Or Beach (also called Tresson Beach) is located southwest of the island of Noirmoutier in the municipality of La Guérinière. Bordered by private homes and campsites, this beach is mostly frequented by holidaymakers staying nearby. There are no parking spaces on the beach; one has to walk about 400 meters to reach the beach.
Equivalent to the nearby beaches (Court and Midi), it is bordered by pleasant small dunes. Swimming is gently sloping. The beach is wilder in the south (there aren’t any tourist residences anymore).
However, there are many mussel beds in this area (pilings in the sea for breeding mussels).
To get to this beach, there are some accesses at the village of Tresson and another nearby access near Sables d'Or campsite.
