In the department of Loire-Atlantique, the seaside resort of Saint Nazaire is best known for its aeronautics and shipbuilding than for its beaches. Yet the town is a destination full of charm and with a picturesque coastline. There are about twenty beaches and coves in Saint-Nazaire along the coastal path, separated by headlands and cliffs, creating a beautiful landscape. One of the most popular is probably the one located below the harbour master office and the most untamed is that of Jaunais, close to Pornichet and sheltered by a dune. Every visitor will find their little piece of paradise: families choose the beaches of Villès-Martin or Porcé and for the sports minded that of Courance where you can practice body-surfing. The coves of Port-Charlotte offer tranquillity and stunning views and one of the most beautiful is probably that of Saint-Marc-sur-Mer with its bronze statue.
