It is not easy to find a dog friendly beach in summer in the PACA region. Plages.tv made a full inventory to help dog owners choose the perfect destination.
Bouches du Rhône is the worst department in pet accommodation. Dogs are allowed on every beach in Port-Saint-Louis only (outside of Napoleon beach aid station). Note the recent initiative of La Ciotat to create a canine area near the city centre. The beaches of Ile Verte are also dog friendly as well as the wildest beaches of Friuli Island (off Marseille).
In the Var departement, the prize goes to Ramatuelle which local decree allows dogs on every beach of the municipality provided they are on a leash. It is exceptional because these are the most beautiful beaches in the Var department and even in France! Ste Maxime and Les Issambres have a suitable offer. However, it is difficult to find a beach around Le Lavandou (only one in Bormes les Mimosas in the fort of Brégançon).
In the Alpes-Maritimes, one has to go in the east of the department to find a beach where our four legged friends are welcome. There are several dog friendly pebble beaches from Villeneuve-Loubet to Menton.
