There are two beaches on the tip of the Douaniers beach in Cap d’Ail. The first one on the left (behind the restaurant) is a beach opened to dogs. It is a small pebble beach with a beautiful view of the path of the Douaniers and the coast of Cap d’Ail; it is beautifully located for swimming even though it is very small (only a few metres wide).
To get to this beach, you can park directly on the pointe des Douaniers car park (Douaniers Avenue) but spaces are limited. Otherwise, there is a bigger car park on Doctor Onimus Avenue.
A restaurant is available there as well as toilets and showers on the opposite side of the beach (next to the pointe’s second beach).
The famous Mala beach is 50 minutes away from the path of the Douaniers.
