Hippodrome Beach extends from Villeneuve-Loubet to Loup at the mouth of the Cagne along the hippodrome on the French Riviera. We find paid parking along the road. This beach in Cagnes sur Mer is the where it is easiest to find parking.
The beaches are made of large stones, so bring swim shoes. We also find a few restaurants and shops to the east of the hippodrome.
The nicest part is located at the intersection of Boulevard Kennedy just after the hippodrome going toward town.
The beaches are divided into zones called “épi”. In season the beaches of épi number 3 to 8 have lifeguards, meaning only the downtown beaches have lifeguards. Note that the westernmost beach, or épi number 1, allows dogs.
