Our opinion on the Carteau Beach
Carteau Beach in Port Saint Louis is found in the Gulf of Fos sur Mer across from Olga Beach (on the shore opposite the Telline pool). This beach is known for kitesurfing and swimming is possible but it would be a shame to come here when Napoleon beach has more of a wild, natural feel.
From Port Saint Louis harbor, take the quai Bonnardel, then continue on the avenue de la 1ere Dfl fro about 3 km. A parking lot is available at the beach's entrance.
