Our opinion on the Ange Gardien Beach
Ange Gardien Beach (Guardian Angel) is located in Villefranche sur Mer, and is the continuation of Marinières Beach. It can be found at the end of avenue de l'Ange Gardien. This little gravel beach (about 60 meters long) is less well known than Marinières as it is hidden. To the left, when facing Villefranche, a little creek allows animals.
It is accessible from the parking lot Marinière or by boulevard Napoleon III, then take a right onto avenue de l'Ange Gardien. The beach can be accessed by a little trail (but it is difficult to park on this road even if there is a paying parking lot near the residence Ange Gardien.

This is a view of the beach from above. To the right is a little creek for dogs and to the left is the end of Marinières Beach (reserved for children in the summer).
In the background we can see the first beaches of Cape Ferrat.
In August, there are a lot of visitors on this beach. Note that we find gravel here. Further are cruise ships that stop in the bay of Villefranche sur Mer.
From this beach we have a great view of Villefranche sur Mer and the citadel.
On the left there is a little creek reserved for dogs. We find large stones but it is calm (photo taken the same day as the others).
