Our opinion on the Cytons Beach
Cytons Beach in Portes-en Ré is located between Redoute Beach (south) and Gros Jonc Beach (north). This access is usually reserved for boaters wishing to launch a boat but it is possible to swim on both sides of the ramp. The beach is identical to the nearby beaches. In addition, there is a playground for children (and picnic tables) as well as a tennis court and a skate park at the car park (along the sea promenade).
To reach this beach from the city center, go to the tourist office, turn left and take the first right (rue du Tennis). Turn right at the end of the street. One reaches directly the tennis. It is not always easy to park in summer.

At the tip, the beach is named Gros Jonc. Note that there is also a fish lock (lock of the Chiouse).
At the entrance, there is a ramp for launching boats. Swimming is possible on the right and left of it.
