Beaches in La Tranche-sur-Mer (85360) France - advise, map and photos

Long nicknamed the Royaume du sable (sand Kingdom) the seaside destination of La Tranche sur Mer is located at the doors of Charente-Maritime, facing Ile de Ré, between La Faute sur Mer and Longeville sur Mer in Vendée in France. This destination is divided into four areas: downtown is found around the central place, Grière is where we find several touristic lodgings (to the east), Phare and the hamlet of Terrière are to the north and offer more wild environments.

Toward the beaches of La Tranche sur Mer, we find 13 kilometers of fine sand and eight lifeguard stations. We easily find four beaches from downtown. The central beach is the closest to downtown. To the west we find  Génerelles Beach near the Pavillon de l'Aunis. To the east we find Maupas pond and its beach. Here, we practice many water sports. It is equally the departure point for visiting the iles. A little bit more to the east is Flandre Dunkerque Beach. To the north are different beaches that offer large stretches of sand with several dunes. Lovers of nature will find a large beach reserved to the north of the city which is part of the beach Bud Bud in Longeville sur Mer.

At low tide, Terrière Beach transforms into a playing field for sand yachts. Those who like to fish shellfish will find several good areas. To the north, to change the atmosphere, we can go to the beaches of Jard sur Mer where we will find many cliffs.
