St Hilaire de Riez’ 60 Bornes Beach is the first unspoilt beach of the resort. Located just outside of town on the way to the south, this beach offers a wide stretch of sand bordered by towering dunes. Accesses are a little away from the main car park but you are guaranteed to find an untamed beach. In the summer season, there is a lifeguard station.
Note that the beach quickly becomes naturist going left towards Salins. Textiles (Non-naturists) rather stay on the right.
To get to this beach from St Jean de Monts, take direction for Sion sur Ocean via the D123 (Avenue des Becs). After the roundabout, continue for 600 meters then park in the carpark on the left (just before the entrance to Demoiselles’ campsite). Access to the beach is on the right (less than 10-minute walk to access the beach).
