On the coastline of Saint Hilaire de Riez (between St Gilles Croix de Vie and Sion sur l’Ocean), we find Bussoleries Beach which is made up of several sandy coves (two at high tide, more at low tide). The environment follows on with other beaches in the Vendée (there are some small cliffs). In the summer season, lifeguards supervise this area and there are chairs available for people with reduced mobility. Off season, we can also come here to practice surfing. Continuing towards Sion sur l’Ocean by the coastline, there are a few small sandy coves.
To get to this beach starting from Sion sur l’Ocean, go to the coastline towards St Gilles. The beach is located across “rue de l’Atlantique” (free parking).
