Saint-Jean-de-Monts’ Davière Beach is located north of the town on the road to Notre Dame de Monts. Completely untamed with its beautiful dunes that stretch for as far as eye can see, the beach is very nice and quiet. You can also come here to swim (but be careful, this beach is not supervised). In addition, dogs are allowed on this beach, which is quite rare in the Vendée.
Parking is permitted for camping cars, except in July and August from 22h to 8h.
The beach is about 5 km from the centre of St Jean. Take the D38 and take the road to the north (rue de Notre Dame) for about 2 km then turn left at the campsite of Davière (also a restaurant at the intersection – “Au Vieux Faitout”). Signs indicated for the beach.
