Our opinion on the Vazen Beach
Nearby as the crow flies from big Donnant Beach, Vazen Beach is far away by the atmosphere. It is a long and narrow cut with 750 m by 50 m of flat sand, which sees the sea emerge very far at low tide. But is reduced at high tide. A little way off, it attracts families, which are put off by the dangers and rollers of the neighbouring Donnant. Its valley lined with Phragmites (reeds) further strengthens its wild appearance.
To get there, follow the D 190 from Palais, go past the airport, turn right towards Petit Cosquet, cross the hamlet of Borzose then Vazen. A dirt road leads to the beach car park. From there, one has to walk a little.
