Bangor is one of four towns of Belle Ile en Mer. Located in the center of the island and facing the wild coast (south), Bangor has one of the most beautiful coasts of the island and has inspired many poets (for example, Monet with the rocks of Goulphar).
There are many beaches in Bangor and probably some of the most beautiful beaches in Belle-Ile-en-Mer. Herlin is located in an aber and is monitored in summer. We like Kerel with its gentle slope, which allows children to have fun safely in a sublime environment. There are some beautiful coves nearby, some of which are authentic havens but which accesses are reserved for the more energetic.
Near Bangor, there are many swimming areas on Belle Ile sur Mer. With a scooter (the most effective way to move around), there is a choice of nearly 60 beaches ... The beaches of Sauzon (northwest) is a surf spot with Donnant Beach. To the east, the beaches of Locmaria reveal the north and south coasts. It includes Grand Sables Beach, which is the largest in Belle Ile en Mer (almost 2 km long).
