Kouar-Huede Creek in Belle Ile en Mer is a famous place. Claude Monet, who stayed on the island around 1886, painted the Needles of port-Coton. If the site is popular for its spectacular panorama, the creek is not very popular because it is very difficult to access. Do not over load to go down and be extremely vigilant. The grey sand beach is set between towering cliffs and opposite the famous needles. One can be captivated by the decor and the colour of the water. However, one prefers to stay there only half a day because the shade of the morning and evening can be troublesome. Just as the many visitors glance inevitably at the creek from the top of the cliffs.
To get to this cove, follow the D190 to the end. One reaches the car park of the Needles of Port-Coton.
